Summary:

Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED), a large, nationwide wholesale electrical distribution company, is seeking a Loss Control Clerk to join the Loss Control Department.

This employee will report to CED’s Loss Control Manager and is primarily responsible for handling responsibilities related to CED’s insurance and loss control functions.

Loss Control Department Summary: The Loss Control Department oversees CED’s 700+ locations throughout the United States and supports affiliated companies as needed on issues and activities related to property & casualty insurance, related claims, and safety.

Reports to: Risk Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Successful candidates must have good references, pass pre-employment drug test, successfully complete a background check, as well as be willing to participate in pre-employment assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Experience in risk management, insurance claims and/or related experience

Working Conditions:

This position operates in a professional office environment and may require sitting for extended periods of time.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist with CED’s workers’ compensation, auto, general liability, property, and freight claims

  • Assist with maintaining CED’s customer certificates of insurance and vendor certificates of insurance program

  • Assist as needed with administration of CED’s OSHA responsibilities

  • Other projects and tasks as assigned
