Summary:
This position will be responsible for driving the APR's business strategy to accelerate growth in the Smart Components businesses. These businesses include industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls/architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks).
This position will be the technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor, provide technical, marketing, and commercial leadership for sales growth, be responsible to supporting the commercial plan for the Smart Components businesses and take a lead role in developing a competency plan to ensure that support functions (inside/outside sales) are adequately prepared to maximize share gain for the Smart Components businesses in their APR(s).
Shares distributed I/O responsibility and coordinates customer activities with Automation Specialist to ensure the right resource is engaged for given opportunities.
Reports to: Solution Consultants Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering - OR equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education
3 years of experience/knowledge applying RA's products or equivalent competitive solutions
Demonstrated ability to describe and apply the fundamentals of industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls/architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks in manufacturing environments
Technical writing and presentation skills
Knowledge of local market and competitive environment

TUV or exida certification for Functional Safety
Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment which requires sitting and working at a computer workstation for extended periods.

Essential Job Functions:
Act as the point person for the business strategy at the supported APR level(s)
Support the development and implementation of the distributor business plan
Implement and track performance of marketing, promotion programs, and product launches for Rockwell Automation
Understand trends with developing standards surrounding safety/certification/regulations and assist customers in applying them
Varying day-to-day tasks including sales or customer requests, planned meetings, event preparation and more
Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately
Be accountable for creation and execution of plans to exceed growth targets
Be comfortable influencing customer on the value of RA solutions
Serve as a domain expert around Connected Components business and continuously build competency
Travel to customers within assigned geographic area
Act as trusted partner to the business units to provide voice of the customer and constructive feedback
Coordinate sales teaming efforts, including Automation Specialist, required to identify and close account conversions and project sales opportunities
