Summary:

The majority of time is spent in warehouse operations. There are also occasional delivery driving duties in this position. We deliver electrical supplies daily to job sites and delivery docks in the Michigan City/Northern Indiana area using vans and box trucks.

General warehouse duties include receiving material, stocking shelves, order fulfillment, packing/shipping material, cutting wire, conducting periodic inventory of material, organization of warehouse, and light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, etc. Advancement opportunities are more sales focused and we have had many people start in this role and find success with our company.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent and consistent attendance

• Ability to regularly lift 70 pounds

• Ability to work on concrete floor on your feet for entire shift

• Ability to climb ladders to pull material

• Comfortable and competent in using a computer, smart phone, and other relevant technology in the workplace

• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record

• Basic math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift Experience

• Delivery Driving

• General warehouse experience

• Electrical industry experience

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment with the possibility of some office work and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Essential Job Functions:

· Build familiarity with new and returning customers

· Pick up material from vendors

· Receive incoming freight

· Keep a clean and organized warehouse

· Stock material on shelves

· Picking orders

· Processing returns from customers and to vendors

· Operate a Microsoft-based computer system

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $18 hourly.
