Summary:
We are actively seeking exemplary candidates to join CED’s competitive Sales Training Program. We provide the tools and training for learning the ins and outs of one of the nation’s fastest growing industries. In this approximate 24-month rotational position, you will be exposed to various roles in each facet of the company, gaining experience in Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Account Management, Outside Sales, Purchasing, Operations and more! The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, exemplifies stellar time management and communication skills, and is excited to be empowered and involved in business goals and initiatives. This role is intended to provide the tools and training for being a successful Account Manager within the company.

This challenging program requires a strong commitment from each participant and encompasses, but is not limited to, Electrical and Automation Fundamentals, Warehouse Operations, Supplier Product Seminars, Customer Inventory Control, Sales & Interpersonal Skills, Corporate Administrative Exposure, Customer Relations, Information Technology, and Quality Assurance. Each trainee’s development is a combination of mentoring via on-the-job, classroom, and home-study training. Individuals should be self-motivated, sales-oriented, geographically flexible, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

CED has since expanded into a coast-to-coast network of sales and distribution warehouses with more than 700 locations nationwide. Reports to: PC Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to work an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday
Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Authorization to work in the United States

Working Conditions:
· No remote work available. Work is on-site only.
· Team environment with multifaceted groups and personnel
Conditions vary based on the trainee’s current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods. Various segments will include some travel – both by car and by air.

Essential Job Functions:
Learn all aspects of the CED business
On the job training and mentoring
Attend classes online as well as in-person at various locations
Communicating – both written and spoken – in English
Build rapport with clients, coworkers and vendors
Establish, develop, and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients
Drive sales through prompt response to daily bid and quote requests
Manage orders and provide customers with solutions for technical, logistic and product issues
Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities
Support sales team by building clear, organized quotations in a timely manner
Research, source, and order both stock and special/non-stocked material
Maintain well organized records of customer and vendor information, quotations, sales, inquiries, feedback, and other relevant documents
Receive and forward customer/vendor feedback, make suggestions for improvement
Take customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions
Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system
Maintain safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with Standard Practice Instructions
Learn sales process by completing training program; complete study assignments; hands on with counter and warehouse team, observe sales process by attending sales calls

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $22 to $25 hourly.
